This seven-day tour brings you to a variety of towns and historic and cultural sites in Germany, Belgium, and Luxembourg. We begin in Frankfurt, Germany and proceed to Cologne, along the Rhine Valley, stopping in some scenic towns where the U.S. Army first entered Germany and taking in meals and shopping. For two days we travel from Cologne to Aachen and on to Houffalize and Spa, Belgium, reviewing battlefields related to the pre- and post-Bulge fights. We stop at important American cemeteries and war memorials to acts of both heroism (Lanzerath) and butchery (Malmedy and Langlir-Ottre), as well as sites such as the tomb of the emperor Charlemagne.

A full day in Bastogne takes us to numerous battlefields and museums. We will have time for shopping and Christmas markets while remaining at a historic spa for three nights. Next, we move on to Luxembourg City following stops in Clervaux, Diekirch and Hamm for battlefields and memorials. We will visit Roman ruins, a winery or two, and several markets before returning to Frankfurt and an optional tour of the city by a local guide. A farewell dinner wraps up our tour.
